A small-batch ceramics brand moving off a marketplace onto its own store. Product photography carries the brand, so the theme was built to stay out of the way: large imagery, a quiet type system, and a checkout stripped to three fields.
The catalogue sat on a marketplace that took a cut of every sale and gave the brand no control over how the work was presented. Product photography was the strongest asset and the template flattened it.
We built a custom Liquid theme around the imagery rather than around a grid. Collections were restructured by glaze and form instead of by SKU, and the checkout was cut to three fields.
The team now runs seasonal drops themselves without a developer, and the store presents the work the way the studio photographs it.
